An unlucky afternoon on the road for Durham as they suffered a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace.
Durham had the first sight on goal in the 10th minute, as Abbey Jones saw her shot go wide after Lauren Briggs won the ball high up the field.
Crystal Palace were through on goal but were denied by a strong challenge by Michaela Foster in the 20th minute.
The Eagles had a big chance in the first half when Elise Hughes saw her effort go high off the crossbar in the 40th minute.
Durham came out strong in the second half, with Mariana Speckmaier having the best chance of the spell, forcing a save from Shae Yanez.
Palace broke the deadlock in the 60th minute through a Molly Sharp finish, after coming close a minute earlier.
The Eagles added a second goal in the 68th after Cat Sheppard’s attempt to parry the ball away was slotted in by Annabelle Blanchard.
Crystal Palace went 3-0 up in the 76th after Blanchard’s pass found Molly Sharp just near the six yard box who doubled her tally for the afternoon.
Durham came close to getting a goal, but Leyla McFarland had her effort saved.
Abbie Larkin added a fourth for The Eagles in the 4th minute of stoppage time after sliding the ball into the net from point blank range.
