Portsmouth WDurham hit Portsmouth for six in a stellar victory at Maiden Castle keep the promotion fight hot in the Barclays Women’s Championship.
Aimee Claypole registered her first senior hattrick alongside a goal for captain Sarah Wilson.
Substitutes Carly Johns and Eleanor Ryan-Doyle both scored in stoppage time to put the cherry on the cake.
Durham hit the front 14 minutes in courtesy of Aimee Claypole slotting it past Hannah Poulter in the Pompey net.
Claypole came close to a second after intercepting Poulter two minutes later, but couldn’t get a shot off before the ball was cleared.
Blues skipper Sarah Wilson headed home a second on the 20th-minute mark after an in-air scramble on the line.
Becky Salicki produced a stunning goal line clearance in first-half stoppage time to keep the score at 2-0 going into the break.
Claypole got her second goal – and Durham’s third – in the 57th minute after breaking from the halfway line to cooly strike.
The 19-year-old completed her hattrick almost instantly after tapping in Mollie Lambert’s cross for her fifth goal in two games.
Abbi Grant made her long-awaited Durham debut in the 85th minute replacing Beth Hepple.
Grant came close to a goal on debut but her half-volley was tipped over.
Carly Johns came off the bench and scored Durham’s fifth during stoppage time.
Grant registered her first assist for the club for substitute Eleanor Ryan-Doyle straight after Johns’ strike to make it 6-0.
