Durham Women were denied a first away win of the season after late heartbreak at Charlton Athletic.
Sarah Robson’s 86th-minute header looked to have handed the Blues a deserved victory after a dominant second half performance.
But Kayleigh Green levelled from the spot in the tenth minute of injury time – after the visitors were forced to play out the final minutes with a numerical disadvantage due to an injury to their goalscorer.
Durham rang the changes after defeat to Reading with Eleanor Ryan-Doyle handed a full debut, and Tatiana Saunders given a first start of the campaign.
And the stopper had to be alert in the early exchanges to deal with some sustained Charlton pressure, albeit without being forced into any challenging stops.
Indeed, it was the Blues who had the first real chance of the game as Ryan-Doyle nodded over from Amy Andrews’ whipped cross.
Robson then forced Jess Gray into a stop after bustling her way into the box with Wilson then drawing a spectacular fingertip save from the Charlton stopper after finding space at the back post.
Having ended the first half strongly, Durham upped the ante after the interval with Poppy Pritchard and Andrews both thwarted by Gray.
And the pressure eventually yielded a deserved goal with four minutes of normal time remaining – Robson looping a header home from Pritchard’s teasing corner.
Charlton began to pour forward but failed to create anything meaningful with Saunders remaining untested.
But, after Robson was forced off through injury to leave Durham with ten players, they were awarded a spot-kick when Green went down in the box – the forward then converting in the tenth minute of added time to deny the visitors three points.
